HEALING WELL RESOURCES

VISION

We want to do all we can to ensure our church is safe for survivors and safe from abuse. The Healing Well Team will coordinate Hope’s efforts to implement policies and procedures to help our church be safer for survivors and to help protect against abuse. Specifically:

Encourage

This team allows parents, survivors of abuse, and all individuals in our church to know Hope takes this issue seriously and is seeking to care for and protect the congregation.

Deter

Having a team who is focused on this issue puts perpetrators on notice that we take this issue seriously. This may act as a deterrent because perpetrators will go where they have the easiest access to victims.

Communicate

This team will be able to focus their energies on this important issue and help our church’s initial commitment become more than just good intentions. They will serve as a conduit to move from ideas to implementation.

Sexual Assault Support Resources

If you or someone you love has been affected by sexual violence and you’re in need of counsling, legal action, or emergency shelter, there are people and resources available to help you.

National Sexual Assault Hotline: 800-656-HOPE
National Child Abuse Hotline: 800-422-4453
National Domestic Violence Hotline: 800-799-SAFE

These groups will be a safe place to share hurt and trauma without fear of judgment. We believe that sharing our story promotes healing. We rarely find safe places to be our broken selves and this reality can end up doing continued damage to ourselves and others because many of us are unable to recover from our own trauma. This sharing group is for you to begin that path of healing. The groups will be broken into females and males. For those interested, email us at healingwell@hopeccatx.com
